There has been a death in my family, and I am being appointed by the court in another state where my relative lived, to administer the estate according to her will. My sister-in-law died a week ago today, and I can tell you that all that has happened since then already feels like a full time job. For those of you who may have also gone through this with one of your loved-ones, you will understand when I say that I feel like my brain is fried. I trust you will forgive me for writing shorter posts for what may turn into a few weeks, as I delve deeper into this adventure. Thank God that the Lord is at the Helm. He is my Guide.
About three weeks ago, I think it was, I came across a saying that I hadn’t ever heard before. Apparently St Francis of Assisi said it, although I haven’t done the research to confirm that.
Here’s the saying: “Start by doing what is necessary. Then do what is possible. Suddenly you will be doing the impossible.” That has become my mantra. It is how I’m staying focused in the present moment. As always, I appreciate your prayers.
Leave me a comment. Thank you.
I'm sorry for your loss and for the extra responsibility that comes with it. Thank you for the quote today. It helped me get out of bed and do the next necessary thing.
